This Family Action Network (FAN) presentation features Daniel Goleman, one of the nation's leading researchers of social and emotional intelligence, for a talk on the subject of his new book, Focus: the Hidden Driver of Excellence, in which he explores multiple manifestations of focus and paying attention. Linda Lantieri, director of the Inner Resilience Project in New York City, will give a seminar on the topic "Renewing Our Sense of Calling: Cultivating Inner Strength in Ourselves and Our Children." She will discuss how adults can nurture their own sense of purpose and vision and create opportunities for reflection and personal renewal for themselves and others. She is the author of Building Emotional Intelligence (with a foreword by Dr. Goleman).
