Camps at the Book Stall

We still have a few spaces left in our summer camps! Please call the Book Stall with any questions or interest! (847) 446-8880

Time Travel through the Story Tunnel!

Pack your imagination for trips through Fables, Myth, Fairy, Folk, and Animal Tails. Explore the art of storytelling with Lucia Luckett-Kelly, local teacher and storyteller, through drama, games, and twisting tales. We invite family and friends to our end-of-camp storytelling festival to experience the excitement of telling a great tale! The camp will be eight one hour sessions running Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 30 until July 23 from 1:00 -2:00 pm. The camp is for kids ages 6-9. The cost is $100.00 per camper.

Discover Your Inner Artist!

Join Hamlet Menses, local author and artist, in a four session camp creating your very own art book. Hamlet will lead the campers in constructing the book and illustrating the pages. All materials are included and each child will take home a finished book. The camp will run four one hour sessions on Wednesdays from July 1 to July 22 from 1:00-2:00 pm. The campers should be between ages 7-10. The cost is $100.00 per camper.

Camp Write-On!

Young Writers (Grades 3-5) are invited to CAMP WRITE-ON 2009 – the Book Stall’s annual summer writing program lead by award-winning and local author, Patricia J. Murphy. Explore ways to find writing ideas, to start writing, and to keep writing all summer long! The camp will meet Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 June 23, 30 and July 7, 14. The cost is $120 per child. No mosquito repellent required – but registration is! Call the Book Stall to sign up!

We also have a book club available for girls entering Second Grade with Miss Amy – Ask someone in the children’s department for more information!
