Anchee Min talked about her new novel, Pearl of China.

 The crowd for ESPN Radio's Mike Goldberg and Mike Golic (the two on the right) overflowed out the door, down the street and far around the block (see below). They signed their new book, Mike and Mike's Rules for Sports and Life.

  Yann Martel signed his new novel, Beatrice and Virgil.

 Sue Miller drew a crowd with her latest,  The Lake Shore Limited.

 A good time was had by all when Diane Falanga (left) launched P.S. I Hate It Here: Kids' Letters from Camp. Sheila Kennedy (right) hosted the party.

 All who attended our "Grandmothers' Gathering" went home happy and full of new ideas for grandchild-friendly activities found in the new book, Toad Cottages & Shooting Stars. Hosts were our good friends Page Dickinson Edmunds (just to the right of Roberta) of Workman Publishing and Craig Poplars (right) of Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.

Scott Turow was at the store within days of the release of his blockbuster, Innocent.
