It's turned out to be one of the most buzzed-about books of the young summer -- My Salinger Year by Joanna Rakoff, and we're delighted the bestselling author is including The Book Stall on her very busy cross-country summer book tour.

My Salinger Year is a spellbinding memoir about her job as assistant to the storied literary agent for J. D. Salinger, where even in the mid-1990s she spent her days in an office where Dictaphones and typewriters still reigned and old-time agents dozed at their desks after martini lunches. Tasked with answering the volumes of letters written to Salinger, she found herself unable to type out the agency's decades-old form response. Instead, she abandoned the template and began writing back.
