Bestselling author and lecturer Andrew Solomon returns to Winnetka, where last year he gave one of the most astonishing presentations in FAN history. This evening's program centers on the subject of his 2011 National Book Award-winning memoir, The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression. The title of this FAN presentation, "Hope, Too, Is a Thing with Feathers," is a riff on the title of an Emily Dickinson poem, and it is Dr. Solomon's intent to illuminate how the experience of depression, suffering and loneliness is the source of penetrating insight, and of hope.  Click here for the FAN website and much more information on Dr. Solomon and his work.
