Michael Pitre

MICHAEL PITRE
      Saturday, November 8
4 pm at The Book Stall

Michael Pitre, a history and creative writing major at Louisiana State who joined the Marine Corps after 9/11, speaks about his debut novel, Fives and Twenty-Fives. Drawing from his experiences during two tours of duty in Anbar province, Pitre tells the story of an American road repair platoon in Iraq dispatched to clear potholes of roadside bombs.

The Book Stall's events coordinator Sarah Collins had a long dinner with Pitre and his publisher during Book Expo in New York and came away awestruck by the man and his book. Please come meet him, too!
