Jane Smiley: One Book Everybody Reads

  The Wilmette Public Library has chosen Some Luck by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jane Smiley for its 2015 One Book Everybody Reads program, which begins on March 21 and culminates with an appearance by Ms. Smiley on Sunday, April 26, at 2 pm at the Wilmette Jr. High School Auditorium. The library has an a very creative array of activities planned around the book. For those who have already read and loved Some Luck, which is volume one in a trilogy, there's more good news. Ms.  Smiley's next novel, Early Warning, comes out on Tuesday, April 28, and we'll have copies for sale at her Wilmette appearance, two days ahead of its national release!
