A reminder that Ragdale's Novel Affair 2015 is coming up this Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3. The weekend features eight outstanding authors and artists who will appear at a VIP champagne reception at Crab Tree Farm on Friday, October 2, at 5:30 pm and at intimate dinners at private homes of distinction on Saturday, October 3, at 6:30 pm.  They include Elizabeth Berg, Brett Lott, Alex Kotlowitz, Gioia Diliberto, Christine Sneed, Regina Taylor, Krista Tippett, and Jim Duignan.

We're delighted to host Chicago author Rebecca Makkai for a talk and signing of her great new novel, The Hundred-Year House, loosely based on Ragdale in Lake Forest.  It's the story, set on an estate north of Chicago, that was once an artists' colony, a tale that zips back and forth in time from 1999 to 1955 and 1929. Fans of her award-winning first novel, The Borrower, won't want to miss meeting her and hearing about her latest.

Ragdale's Novel Affair 2014 on September 26 & 27

 

A star-studded line-up of authors and artists will be featured during the annual Ragdale Novel Affair 2014 weekend later this month. The entire group will mingle and speak at the Chicago Botanic Garden's McGinley Pavilion on Friday, September 26. On Saturday, September 27, they will participate in separate intimate dinner parties in various homes in Chicago and the North Shore. See Ragdale.org for more information.
