On April 26, 2012 at 6:30 pm, join us to celebrate the launch of the captivating memoir by Chicago-based journalist and translator Wen Huang, a former staff member of The New York Times Beijing Bureau and a regular contributor to Chicago Public Radio.

 
His book, The Little Red Guard: A Family Memoir, is his story of growing up in the China of the Cultural Revolution.  It's a powerful portrait of an ordinary family finding its way through turbulence and transition.  inding its way through turbulence and transition.  ABC's anchorwoman Linda Yu will be joining him here at The Book Stall. 

Linda Yu will lead a discussion about Mr. Huang’s memoir based on his childhood during the Cultural Revolution in China. Linda Yu is an anchorwoman for Chicago’s ABC affiliate and a good friend of Wen’s. She will also moderate a question and answer session.
