Continuing our summer of fun for children...
Dive Write In: A Writing Workshop continues the fun on Thursday, July 26, from 3-4 pm. In
this fast-paced workshop, we'll use prompts and exercises designed by
contemporary writers to plunge into writing, generating rough drafts of poems and prose-works. Workshop leader Robert McDonald is a widely published award-winning poet.Recommended for ages 12 to 15. Limit 12.
We wrap up our summer program with a writing workshop for the younger crowd, Write a Story the Rocket Way, 
on Tuesday, July 31, from 3-4 pm. We love the picture book How Rocket Learned to Read, in which a little dog learns how to read stories. In the new book, Rocket Writes a Story, our
hero learns how to write his own story. After we listen to the book,
we'll use some of the ideas to write and illustrate our own story. Recommended for ages 6 to 8. Limit 15.
