Stop by the store for a copy of the May Indie Next List flyer, out on our counters now.
Its cover book, All the Light We Cannot See by
Anthony Doerr, is a novel about a blind French girl and a German boy
whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the
devastation of World War II. You'll note that Stephanie and Roger
Hochschild gave the book a thumbs-up in our May print newsletter. Their
17-year-old daughter Katie loved it, too, testimony to its
cross-generational appeal. The New York Times agreed in this review published on Monday.
