Calling all cooks!

Chicago's great Gale Gand will be at the Woman's Athletic Club on November 5 with her Gale Gand's Lunch!, already a hit with cooks who agree with her that "Lunch is the new dinner."

And on November 11, we're delighted to be having two events with Fabio Viviani, whose new cookbook, Fabio's American Home Kitchen, features popular American dishes with an Italian accent.

Next Tuesday, October 28, is the release day for Ina Garten's latest, Make It Ahead: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. Ina won't be visiting us, but her new book is certainly worth a trip into the store anyway. The title says it all: It's full of do-ahead tips and strategies and recipes for dishes that taste just as good, or even better, when they're made in advance.
